Treatment

  • Description: Before the treatment a dermatological specialist makes the diagnosis of an onychomycosis and a proof of the fungus with a fungal culture or fungal-PCR is performed. For the treatment of the nail fungus the Nd:YAG laser is used. In doing so the nail plate is heated up, which destroys the fungal hyphae. In case of heavy hyperkeratosis additionally this is mechanically removed. The therapy can be accompanied with local or systemic antimycotic therapy or alternative alone, if an onychmycosis therapy with tables is not possible because of contraindications.

  • Painful corns on feet and toes
  • Excessive hyperkeratosis

Treatment goals

  • Removal of the corn and the hyperkeratosis
  • Pain reduction

Treatment

  • Description: Before the treatment, the diagnosis of a corn (clavus) is confirmed by a dermatological specialist. Corns and hyperkeratosis are mostly caused by foot malposition, prominent joint or unsuitable foot wear. Due to the mechanic pressure on the inside, the skin reacts with a punctiform hardening and hyperkeratosis of the skin, which itself causes pain when stepping on it. During the treatment of the corn, this hyperkeratosis gets mechanically removed. Due to the fact, that the original issue mainly lies underneath, the treatment has to be repeated continuously.
  • Type: Podology

  • Repetitions: Continuous sessions every 2-4 weeks

Price per session

  • Package price for 4 sessions: € 550

4.) Nail brace

Applications

  • Pincer nails
  • Highly curled and thickened nails
  • Ingrown toe nails

Treatment goals

  • Reduction of nail curvature/li>
  • Pain reduction

Treatment

  • Description: Before treatment, a dermatologist will diagnose the ingrown toenail or Pincer nail. The problems and pain associated with ingrown toenails are caused by severely curved toenails that press into the lateral nail fold, either due to genetic factors or secondary changes to the nail organ caused by foot deformities or incorrect weight distribution over the course of a lifetime. Ingrown toenails can also be caused by increased nail curvature or incorrect footwear and lead to pain and inflammation. The nail brace is like a dental brace that is applied to the top of the nail and continuously pulls the sides of the nail upward, thereby reducing the curvature of the nail. Depending on the extent of the change and individual aspects, a metal or adhesive brace is applied.
  • Type: Podology
  • Duration per session: 20 minutes
  • Repetitions: For genetically caused ingrown toenails, continuous sessions every 4-6 weeks. For ingrown toenails, until the acute problem is solved, often 3-6 sessions.

Price per session

  • Application of a metal nail brace: € 150
  • Replacement of a metal nail brace: € 100
